When I first saw the NYX Butter Lipsticks display at ULTA, I was extremely attracted to it. After swatching the testers, I knew the colors I wanted. For several weeks I keep checking ULTA and with no luck, it never was restocked. Having the opportunity to attend Pro Night at IMATS this past weekend (check out my post on Crown Brush Blogger Event), I knew I had to grab the colors I wanted.

Here's my NYX Cosmetics haul. I got the new baked blush, new chunky lip pencil, and two Butter Lipsticks.
Product Review: NYX Butter Lipstick in Pops

Where to purchase: ULTA, CVS, Target, and online at nyxcosmetics.com
Price: $6 for 0.16 oz/ 4.5 g

Made in Taiwan

Description from the website: The unique texture seems to melt onto the lips, giving full, yet lightweight coverage with a luxurious satin finish.
Ingredients:
Thoughts: For some reason, these Butter Lipsticks attracted me. The testers were colorful on display, at the same time, I think it was smart of them to have testers. After swatching them, I fell in love. They're so creamy like butter on my hand. They're also pigmented.
Here's a look at the lipstick without the top.
Here's a closer look at the lipstick. It's very true to color!
A swatch of the lipstick.

Now for how it looks on me...
It's a gorgeous mauve color. It's a warm color with a slight purple on me.
The lipstick color in this picture is very true to color on me!

Now for my overall opinion... First, there's no scent whatsoever. I just sniffed the lipstick. Secondly, I can understand why it's in the butter line. It glides on smooth as butter. To be honest, it reminds me of lip balms. It's not sticky, feels hydrating, and you don't feel like you're wearing lipstick. The best part of this product is that it has color and it's pretty pigmented. Third, I'm not too sure if it's suppose to be hydrating but it doesn't dry out my lips. I have extremely dry lips and whenever I wear lipsticks, I get white residue in the middle. With this lipstick, I don't get any residue and I wore it all day. Lastly and the most important factor, it's long lasting. The color does not rub off until you either eat or drink.

Pros:
* Comes in a variety of colors.
* Packing is attractive with the different colors.
* No scent.
* Glides on smoothly.
* Pigmented.
* Not drying; no white residue in the middle of the lips.
* Long lasting; color does not come off until you eat or drink.
* Cruelty free.

Cons:
* Can be hard to find in the stores at the moment.

Would repurchase: Yes.

This Butter Lipstick suits you very well! It looks so natural. Are NYX Butter Lipsticks similar to Revlon Lip Butters?

Thank you! It is on the natural side with a kick of color. I love the quality, as well as, the pigmentation. I might purpose more. :X

NYX cosmetics isn't available in Australia? I did not know that. I understand what you mean. There's so many Asian products I want but it's hard to find it here.
