I really miss wearing manicure, as well as, posting Manicure Monday. It has to wait until my nails are stronger. Hopefully, I can start wearing polishes next week. Even though I'm not posting a review/swatch of a nail polish, I still will review a product related to nails. For this post, I will review Seche Restore.

Product Review: Seche Restore

Where to purchase: Amazon and online at seche.com
Price: ~ $5 for 14 mL/ 0.5 fl oz

Made in USA

Description from the box: Seche RESTORE is the ONLY product capable of returning a bottle of Seche VITE to its original consistency.
Ingredients:
Thoughts: If you use Seche Vite Top Coat, you know when you get half way it gets thicker and clumpier. It makes it hard to apply the top coat. I've been using a no-name thinner that I bought from a Chinese nail supply store for years. Then some time ago, I believe 2012, I read a blog review on Seche Restore. It intrigued my interest that I ended up buying one on Amazon. It's a post that needed to be reviewed a long time ago, but like I said it's better now than later. ;)
The one I bought from Amazon came in a box with Seche Restore and a dropper.
Seche Restore, on the left, comes in an identical bottle as Seche Vite Top Coat. It can be hard to distinguish them when they're next to each other.
The big difference between Seche Restore and Seche Vite is that Seche Restore does not come with a brush. If you grab the wrong Seche, you will know the difference when you open them.
Here's how the dropper looks like. If you're like me, you will have to experiment with the dropper. It wasn't that easy for me. :X Once you have the thinner in the dropper, put your thumb on the top of the black rubber. It will hold the thinner inside until you move it to the top coat. Then release your thumb or at least that's what works for me.

Now for my overall opinion... First of all, it smells like regular nail polish. There really isn't any distinction between the thinner and polishes. It can look like a clear nail polish, top coat, and so on that is on the clear side. Secondly, I've had this more than a year and it still looks like new. Of course, I used half the bottle but it hasn't become thicker and cloudier. The thinner looks the same as the first time I used it. Lastly, the most important factor the quality of the product. It's easy to thin the top coat. Instead of dropping a few drops, I actually drop a lot. Then I rub the bottle of the top coat between my hands to mix the ingredients. Then the top coat applies like it's brand new. It's not thick and clumpy. To be honest, I cannot tell the difference between the Seche Restore and the no-name brand. They both work the same. The only difference I noticed is that the no-name brand becomes thick after couple of usage, whereas, Seche Restore will be thin for a month or two. It lasts longer as a thinner than the no-name brand.

Pros:
* Comes with a dropper.
* Easy to use.
* Thins out the top coat, as well as, thick/clumpy nail polishes.
* Thins the top coat/polishes longer than other thinners.
* Thinner will last a long time.

Cons:
* The bottle looks exactly like Seche Vite Top Coat; hard to distinguish them.

Would repurchase: Yes!

This is a must for me! Now I even use the Seche base coat so it is more confusing but I am happy with the results! :)

Thanks for the review! I have been debating on this and think I will give it a go. Wish they would have more distinct bottles or labels though. Its hard enough with the base and top coat looking identical lol

I highly recommend getting this! This has to be the best thinner I've tried so far out of the two... hehe~

I also love the Poshe fast drying base coat and the Seche one is similar, and it is definitely better than Revlon one I have tried! :)

Oh, I never heard of Poshe base coat. I need to look into that.
